Having just hit level 40 I'm pretty stoked about all the crafting options that this game has available. However resources of some kinds seem a bit scarce while others are plentiful. The one that I'm really having a hard time finding is silver, anyone have any reccomendation for zones to hunt for it in?

Well first off you should start with the farming zones such as purple lotus swamp or potain. There both loaded with the low lvl resources and the Latish Plains have the upper teir resources.
